We’re excited to welcome you inside the Historic Kansas State Penitentiary for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Your $35 registration fee includes one vehicle, the driver, and one passenger.

Arrival

The prison gates will open at 8:30 a.m.

Please proceed to Gate 3 (Dock 3), located just off Kansas Avenue and Second Street. It’s easy to find—the tower is marked with a large number “3.” Our volunteers will be there to welcome you and direct you to your parking space on the streets of the former maximum-security prison.

Please Note

Because this historic prison is surrounded on all four sides by an active correctional facility,vehicles will not be permitted to leave before the conclusion of the event. While we understand emergencies can arise, this policy is required by the Kansas Department of Corrections and cannot be waived. If you think you may need to leave early, please make other arrangements before arriving.

Food & Beverages

You’re welcome to bring a cooler with food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Because this event is held on Kansas State property, the following items are not permitted:

• Alcohol
• Cigarettes or other tobacco products
• Vaping devices

Food trucks and refreshments will also be available throughout the day.

We look forward to spending the day with you as you enjoy classic cars, live music by Exit 13 Band, trophies, food trucks, and the rare opportunity to drive and display your vehicle on the streets inside one of Kansas’ most historic prisons.
